Highline Ballroom, Manhattan (Thursday)
2nd concert (June 28th): The venue is sold out and the people str getting really mad. The show starts with our pair of 12/8 crazy beat rhythms and keeps growing and growing from there. Nearly all the acoustic problems disappear, and with the Sultana rumba we start to feel and transmit the power of groovy-dance beats running through the veins. From that point, the concert will keep going up and up untill we finish it. We were really really emotioned and feeling so so good.
The NY audience gave us a fantastic 2 days of great energy and we found the way to give it back with our groove-crazy flamenquish music. We really love it here in NY and we love to see that everyone here really feels the music so strongly.

incredible – explosive – totally transcendental night at the Highline
been waiting years for this one… you guys delivered. the sound was sweet and hot, the whole room was completely in your hands by the third song.

Totally amazing night. Did not want it to end. I can still feel the rumbadrenaline even a week later.
Missed you at SOB’s, again at Irving Plaza. Third time’s a charm! Thank you for bringing this music back again and again. We WILL be there next time.

I discovered ODB about 3 months ago at a listening booth at a national bookstore chain. As soon as I heard a minute of Color - the lead-off track from Techari - I was hooked. I have played this CD constantly over the past 3 months and also picked up the preceding disk, Bari, about a month ago. Both disks have become favorites of mine.
After visiting this web site and viewing several excerpts of past ODB concerts on Youtube, I knew I had to see these wonderful musicians and performers live. Consequently, I drove from Rhode Island to NYC to attend the Thursday performance at the Highline Ballroom.
You were truly wonderful! Your enthusiasm and passion was evident throughout the performance. The audience responded back to your joyous energy which continued over the next 2.5+ hours. I was surrounded by fans who sang along to the songs you played from Bari. Your enjoyment in performing that night was evident - even before you asked members of the audience to join you on stage and you performed numerous encores.
Thank you for playing a relatively intimate place - (650 person occupancy). I hope the next time you come to America you will consider playing somewhere around the Boston/Rhode Island area.

What a coincidence!!! Estoy en Ny por una semana y tocais ustedes ….Que fuerte…Compre billiete y llege pronto…ya fuese lo mejor regalo por mis cumpleanos el 05/07 ademas porque estaba triste que en este dia tocabais en Atenas(mi ciudad!!!!!!) y yo no podria estar, siendo en Ny!!!
Muchas ganas, ustedes tambien como siempre, nos habeis puesto fuego rapidissimo y toda la sala estaba bailando desde los primeros minutos!!!! Flamenco, rumba y alegri…
