Kατενθουσιασμένος με το ελληνικό κοινό!

Έτσι αισθάνθηκα εγώ αλλά νομίζω ότι το συναίσθημα ήταν γενικό σε όλο το γκρουπ. 

Ταξιδέψαμε σε πολλές χώρες αυτή τη χρονιά, μερικές τις είχαμε επισκεφτεί και παλιότερα, και συγκινηθήκαμε με το κοινό σε πολλέεεεες συναυλίες μας, πράγμα που μας δίνει δύναμη και μας εμψυχώνει να συνεχίσουμε την προσπάθεια.  Αλλά με τις συναυλίες στην Ελλάδα φόρτισα τις μπαταρίες μου τόσο που μέχρι και τσουνάμι θα μπορούσα να αντιμετωπίσω!!!!!!

Το κοινό και της Θεσσαλονίκης και της Αθήνας ήταν για μένα το καλύτερο αυτή τη χρονιά, χωρίς να θέλω να περιφρονήσω κανέναν. 

Η μόνη κριτική που έχω να κάνω είναι για την τιμή των εισιτηρίων που μου φάνηκε υπερβολική αλλά απ’ την άλλη μεριά είναι μια καλή δικαιολογία για να ξανάρθουμε στην Ελλάδα και να μοιραστούμε τη μουσική μας σε πιο προσιτή τιμή…

Σας ευχαριστούμε γι’ αυτό που είστε!

Impresionado del publico Griego!

Hablo por mi pero creo que la sensacion es general en todo el grupo.

Hemos viajado por mucho paises este año, algunos ya habiamos estado, y hemos vibrado con el publico de muuuuchos conciertos que hemos hecho lo qual nos alimenta el espiritu y nos da empuje para seguir tirando del carro… pero los dos concertios de Grecia me han cargado las pilas como para subsistir un tsunami!!!!!!

El publico tanto en Thessaloniki como en Atenas a sido para mi el mejor de este año sin menos preciar a nadie.

Mi unica critica va dirigida al precio de la entrada que me pareció excesivo pero a su vez es una buena excusa para volver a Grecia y tocar con unos precios mas accesibles…

I’m so blown away by the Greek people!

I speak for myself but I think the sentiment is mutual for the whole group.

We’ve travelled to so many countries this year, some to which we’d already been, and we got down with audiences in sooooooo many shows that fed our spirits and given us what we need to carry on down the road… but the two concerts in Greece have recharged my batteries enough to stop a tsunami in its tracks!

The audience in both Thessaloniki and Athens have been, for me, the best so far this year, just fantastic.

My only criticism is directed at the entry prices, which I thought were excessive, but in this case it’s a good excuse to come back soon to Greece and play at some more reasonable rates.

Thank you so much for being who you are!

Θεϊκό, εντυπωσιακό, άψογος ήχος και τρομερό κοινό. Και πάλι όπως και χτες, σαν να ήμασταν στο σπίτι μας. Χόρευε όλος ο κόσμος, χοροπηδούσε και φώναζε δυνατά από την αρχή, απ’το Seguiriya-Reggae που δεν είναι καθόλου εύκολο, και χωρίς να σταματήσει μέχρι το τέλος. Περάσαμε πολύ καλά και πέρα απ’τα προβληματάκια που υπάρχουν πάντα, το γενικό συναίσθημα ήταν ότι επικοινωνούσαμε άψογα με το κοινό και τα δυο συγκροτήματα έδωσαν όλο τους τον εαυτό, που είναι και το πιο σημαντικό.

Είμαστε πραγματικά ευγνώμονες για μια τόσο θερμή υποδοχή. Θα επιστρέψουμε σύντομα, δεν έχουμε φύγει ακόμα κι έχουμε ήδη όρεξη να ξανάρθουμε! Και οι τιμές θα’ναι καλύτερες, θα το κανονίσουμε εμείς την άλλη φορά.

Ευχόμαστε υγεία και δύναμη σ’αυτό το κομμάτι του ελληνικού κοινού.

Brutal, impresionante, un sonido buenísimo y un público tremendo. De nuevo como ayer, como si estuviéramos en casa, todo el mundo bailando, saltando y gritando desde el principio por Seguiriya-Reagge, que tiene tela, y sin parar hasta el final. Nos lo hemos pasado muy bien y aparte los fallos que siempre hay, la tónica general ha sido de conexión máxima con la peña y entrega total por las dos bandas, que es lo más importante.

De verdad que estamos muy agradecidos por esta acogida tan auténtica. Volveremos pronto, que ya tenemos ganas antes de irnos… y a precios más populares, lo controlaremos…

Salut y fuerza a ese pedazo de pueblo griego.

Brilliant, so very impressive, really good sound and a tremendous audience. Just like yesterday, we felt completely at home, everyone dancing, grooving, and shouting from the first Seguiriya-Reggae, a tricky one, and not stopping until the end. Everything went really smoothly, apart from the little problems that you always have, the general feeling was maximum connection with the people, both sides giving everything they’ve got, which is the most important thing there is.

Really, we are so deeply grateful for this truly authentic response. We’re coming back soon, and we already can’t wait… and at more reasonable prices, we’ll see to that.

Καταρχάς ζητάμε συγγνώμη για την τιμή των εισιτηρίων. Είναι η πρώτη μας φορά στην Ελλάδα και δεν ήταν υπό τον έλεγχό μας. Δε θα επιτρέψουμε να ξανασυμβεί. Να ξέρετε ότι εμείς απλώς θέλαμε να εισπράξουμε ένα ελάχιστο ποσό για να καλύψουμε τα έξοδά μας. Δε θέλαμε να χάσουμε αλλά ούτε και να κερδίσουμε, αλλά…

Επίσης ζητάμε συγγνώμη από τα 200 άτομα που δεν μπόρεσαν να μπουν μέσα. Ούτε οι οργανωτές ούτε εμείς φανταζόμασταν ότι ο κόσμος θα είχε τέτοιες προσδοκίες για τις συναυλίες μας, αλλιώς θα είχαμε κλείσει μεγαλύτερη αίθουσα με καλύτερο ήχο. Την άλλη φορά…

Η αίθουσα τελικά ήταν μικρή, ο ήχος ήταν μέχρι τέρμα και το κοινό ήταν αφοσιωμένο σε μας 100% από την αρχή. Τι ωραίο αίσθημα, τι υπέροχο κοινό, ήμασταν σαν στο σπίτι μας, περάσαμε καταπληκτικά και μας ξάφξνιασε τέτοιο καλωσόρισμα. Ο κόσμος ήταν πανέμορφος και όλοι ανεξαιρέτως ήμασταν συντονισμένοι στην ενέργεια και τη ζεστασιά του κόσμου που μας έκανε να δώσουμε τον καλύτερό μας εαυτό. Πώς φαίνεται το μουσικό επίπεδο αυτής της χώρας, η αίσθηση του ρυθμού… Υπήρχαν στιγμές που κρατούσαν το τέμπο χτυπώντας τα χέρια τους, χωρίς να χάνουν καθόλου το ρυθμό.

Το “ρεσπίρα” για παράδειγμα, που είναι ένας ασύμμετρος ρυθμός με 12 χρόνους (2+2+3+3+2), πάντα μπερδεύει τον ακροατή, αλλά εδώ το χόρευε σχεδόν όλος ο κόσμος… Χόρευαν μέχρι και τη μπουλερία και το τανγκίλιο. Ολέ ολέ!

Primero de todo disculparnos con el personal por el precio de la entrada, es nuestra primera vez en Grecia y no teníamos control de ello, no permitiremos que vuelva a pasar. Que sepáis que nosotros venimos por los mínimos que podemos para no perder ni ganar, por los sueldos y ya pero…

También disculparnos a los 200 que no pudieron entrar, no imaginaban los promotores ni nosotros tampoco, que hubiera tanta expectativa hacia nuestros conciertos, sino, se hubiera podido hacer una sala más grande y con mejor sonido. También a la próxima…

La sala se quedó pequeña, el sonido lo tuvimos que exprimir hasta casi más allá de su límite y el público estuvo conectado al 100% desde el principio. Que buena onda, que bien la gente, era como estar en casa, nos lo pasamos que te cagas y nos sorprendimos con una acogida increíble. La gente se veía super guapa toda, y todos nosotros sin excepción vibramos con la energía y el calor del personal que nos hizo sacar el máximo de nosotros mismos. Como se nota el nivel musical de este país, la comprensión del compás, había momentos que llevaban el tempo con las palmas con cualquier ritmo y sin perderse en absoluto.

El respira mismo que es un 12 asimétrico con los tiempos fuertes en 2+2+3+3+2, que siempre se queda el personal mas bien embobado y medio despistado, acá lo bailaba casi todo el mundo… y hasta las bulerías y los tanguillos. Óle, Óle….

First of all, our personal apologies for the entry price, it’s our first time in Greece and we didn’t have any control over it. We will not let it happen again. We, ourselves, came for a minimum price and just barely broke even, so…

Also, we are sorry to the 200 who came and could not enter, neither we nor the promoters imagined that there was this much expectation for the show, or else we would’ve gotten a bigger venue with better sound. Again, next time…!

While room was small, we pushed the sound to the limit and the audience was 100% connected from the beginning. That good pure energy, the wonderful people, it was like playing in our own house, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and received an absolutely amazing welcome. Really, just beautiful people and every one of us, without exception, was totally in tune with the energy and heat of the crowd who drove us to bring out our very best. The musical level in this country is so impressive, the understanding of the compás, there were moments when they kept time with handclaps, in any rhythm, without losing the beat.

Respira, for example, is a 12 asymmetrical with strong times in 2+2+3+3+2, which totally confuses the average listener, but here they all danced and just got it… and even the bulerías and the tanguillos. Óle, Óle….

Επιτέλους στην Ελλάδα. Μοιάζει με την Ισπανία 15 ή 20 χρόνια πριν. Ο χρόνος κυλά αργά, μέσα στην ηρεμία, την ησυχία… Τη ζωή την κυριεύει ακόμα το άγχος κι η λαχτάρα των ανθρώπων να φτάσουν σ’ένα ψηλότερο επίπεδο. Είναι όμως στην Ευρωπαϊκή ένωση και δεν τους μένει πολύ ακόμα για να τελειώσει η αγωνία τους για το ευρώ και τους αυστηρούς και υπερβολικούς νόμους και περιορισμούς που καταστρέφουν τον αυθορμητισμό των βορειοευρωπαίων αλλά και των νοτιοευρωπαίων όλο και περισσότερο. Ήρθαμε γεμάτοι κέφι και αισθανθήκαμε σαν στο σπίτι μας, ανάμεσα σε φυσιογνωμίες οικείες, ακούγοντας τους ανθρώπους να μιλάνε με την ίδια προφορά μ’εμάς αλλά χωρίς να καταλαβαίνουμε σχεδόν τίποτα, χα χα… Ο Έντουαρντ μας πήγε για φαγητό στο κέντρο κι ήταν πεντανόστιμο! Η άριστη ποιότητα σε τόσο καλή τιμή και συνάμα η χαρά που αισθανθήκαμε τουγκρίζοντας τα ποτήρια μας με ρετσίνα μας άφησαν πραγματικά ικανοποιημένους.

Por fin en Grecia, es como estar en España hace 15 o 20 años o aveces más, el tiempo va despacio, tranquilidad, calma, la calidad de vida no está superada por el stress ni el ansia de buscar y mantener un alto “nivel” de vida, pero están en la comunidad europea y les falta poco pa terminar agbiándose con el euro y las estrictas y excesivas leyes y límites que destrozan la espontaneidad de los norteuropeos, y cada vez más la de los del sur… teníamos muchas ganas y nos sentimos como en casa, fisonomías muy parecidas, somos iguales, además el mismo acento, pero no hay manera de entender casi nada de lo que hablan, ja, ja… el Eduard nos ha llevado a comer al mercado y que te cagas, máxima calidad al mejor precio y el bacilón de brindar y brindar con retsina que nos ha puesto muy alegres y contentos.

Finally in Greece, and like it was in Spain 15 or 20 years ago, time goes by more slowly, with tranquility and calm. The quality of life isn’t overcome by stress and the need to seek that certain standard of living, but they are in the European Union now and are nearly done with being opressed by the Euro and the strict and excessive laws and limits that are destroying the spontaneity of the north Europeans and, more and more, those in the south… We really love being here and truly feel at home, with very similar looking people, we’re just like them – they even speak with the same accent, but we can hardly understand a thing, ha ha… our friend Eduard took us to eat in the market and it was fantastic, the highest quality at the best price and we had the joy of saying a toast with a glass of retsina that has left us feeling very pleased and content.

Στις 7:30 ήμασταν στο αεροδρόμιο της Βαρκελώνης και στις 19:00 φτάσαμε στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Τι εξάντληση! Πετάξαμε πάνω από τις Άλπεις. Η βόλτα ήταν θαυμάσια. Πρέπει να ‘ναι πολύ δύσκολο να ζεις όλο το χρόνο ανάμεσα σ’ αυτά τα βουνά… Όμως είναι τόσο υπέροχα… Τι εντυπωσιακό τοπίο…

A las 7.30 en el aeropuerto de Barcelona y hemos llegado a las 19.00 a Thessaloniki… vaya palizón, en la vuelta que hemos dado hemos volado por encima de los Alpes, que pasote, que duro debe ser vivir todo el año en medio de estas montañas…. pero que magníficas que son… que paisaje más impresionante…

7:30 in the morning in the Barcelona aiport and we finally arrived in Thessaloniki at 7 p.m… it’s amazing, during the flight we took a route over the Alps, what a view! It must be so hard be to live year-round in the middle of these mountains… but they’re truly magnificent, what an impressive landscape…

Nice concert in a good theatre with everyone seated, and great sound quality. We held back a little instead of striking that punk-rock vein we’ve been hitting lately… taking advantage of the good sound and acoustics, playing with a bit less pressure and more dynamics. On the side we had groups of Latin folks on their feet, dancing close to the stage, and in the center the British people seated and listening. Also quite a few older people in the audience, who, surprisingly, seemed to cheer and scream same than the rest, and everyone just really got into it from the beginning.

Yep, we were very happy yesterday with the show, and with that special connection with the people that we’ve been feeling for this tour in England. Even though we tend to play a lot more in the “world music” circuit, in truth our shows have a weight that comes a lot closer to rock, funk, drum & bass and even punk, but always with that flamenco root that leads to us being classified as “world.” For the next tour, we’re going to shake things up a bit and also play some rock stages, I hope!

Buen concierto en un buen teatro con toa la gente sentada y buen sonido. Nos contuvimos un poco y en lugar de soltar todo el rato la vena punk-rock que llevamos dentro, aprovechando un buen sonido y acústica, nos lo hicimos a media presión y con más dinámica. A los lados teníamos los grupos latinos de pie, bailando amontonados a pie de escenario y en el centro el personal más anglosajón sentado y escuchando. Entre el público bastante gente mayor y la gran sorpresa es que gritaban y aplaudían como los que más, y es que la peña vibró a tope desde el principio.

Muy contentos del concierto de ayer y de toda la gira, de la conexión con todo la gente que ha acudido a esta gira. Aunque hayamos tocado en un circuito más world music, en realidad nuestro show tiene una presión que está más cerca del rock. el funk, drum & bass y hasta del punk, pero por el hecho de tener esta raíz flamenca en UK aún estamos básicamente clasificados en el rollo world. En la próxima gira vamos a cambiarlo un poco y compartir escenarios mas rockeros, espero….
